WHAT: The tank seat currently reads ‘OUT OF SERVICE – LEVEL NOT MEASURED – PUMP OFF – EC – / pH – / T -‘. Settings > Root already defines an EC target (2.2 mS/cm) and the Root desk tracks substrate EC/pH. WHY: for a controller that steers irrigation, the reservoir is a first-class thing – EC/pH of the feed, level, and simple ‘your feed EC is below target, add nutrients’ / ‘top up the tank’ guidance closes the loop between feed and substrate. HOW: when the tank is in service and a level/EC/pH probe is bound, show feed EC/pH vs target with dosing hints, a level gauge, and a low-level reminder; tie into the shot planner.
