PARTIAL 2026-09-06 (code landed, unverified on live): kept the endpoint (it’s a legit one-time migration for pre-snapshot-column rows) and formalized its contract — backfilled values are now tagged with a _backfill marker in snapshot_json (see linked ‘retroactively fills’ row). Still admin-only, not in the SPA.
