Running now on our real-world test kit: brain and dashboard 9.1.0 (since 18 Sep 2026), hub firmware 8.3.0.0, 4 of 8 devices still on older firmware (8.2.0.0–8.3.0.0). Reported by the kit 2 minutes ago.
DSC is fully functional today and is being tested on real plants, in real rooms, by a small community. It is not on general release yet. Here is the deal: we help you by sending you the alpha build, free, the day it ships. You help us, if you like, by telling us a little about how you plan to use it.

You get the alpha, free, as soon as it is released
The next alpha, v9.0.0-AlphaPi, is nearly finished. Everyone who signs up here gets a download link by email when it ships. We expect that by the end of September or early October 2026. No cost, no account, no strings.
- One .img file. Flash it to a microSD card and boot.
- Raspberry Pi 3 or newer. 4 GB of RAM or more is recommended.
- Ready to go. The brain, the dashboard and the kit firmware are already on the card.
Files and releases are hosted on this site. Nothing needs a GitHub account. Your email is used for the download link and release notes for the alpha, nothing else.

Each answer you do give tells us which rooms, gear and growers to build for next, and helps us send you the build that fits your space best. Every question is deliberately general.
