Drying and curing zones
What flipping a zone to Dry or Cure starts, the dry strategies, mould risk, jar pucks in a cure fridge, and what the brain never controls.

Dry: the dry run
Flip a zone to Dry (Settings › Zones) and a dry run starts: the brain records plants harvested in the last three days and their logged wet weight. The Climate desk shows a Dry run card: the day against the strategy's window, the weigh-in curve against the roughly 75 % a flower loses drying, a prompt to start stem checks in the last two or three days, the live RH, temperature and dew point, and an end checklist (weigh-in logged, stems snap, dry weight on each plant's Harvest entry).

The curve and the checklist read Weigh-in and Dry check entries on the zone's journal (the card's Log weigh-in / dry check button opens it). Not on this release: the zone journal's composer in Logs writes plain notes only (typed entries are offered on a plant's journal, and an entry logged on a plant does not count here), so these two cannot be logged from the dashboard yet; the brain accepts them through the API (POST /journal/space/<zone> with action weigh or dry_check). Flipping the zone out of Dry closes the run and writes a summary entry. The zone's Dry strategy (Settings › Zones) sets the band the desks judge; its preset reaches the hub only for the 4×8, while the hub's stage is Dry Mode and the brain owns stage targets (Settings › Climate › Stage presets). Nothing is written to the hub for any other zone.
Drying room too humid (binary_sensor.dsc_dry_mold_risk, critical) fires only when a drying zone's air is at or above the dry-room RH you set (Dry room RH alert, Settings › Climate › Dry and cure) — directly or through grow alert sensitivity.
Cure: jars in a fridge
A cure fridge is a zone you add in Settings › Zones (kind container, role Cure). Pair a Zigbee temperature/humidity puck for each jar and place it in Settings › Devices with placement Jar (curing), the fridge's zone and positions jar1, jar2… An ambient puck in the fridge gives the fridge temperature.
The Climate desk's Cure card reads every jar on its own — never an average — and advises per jar:

The advice reads Jar up (with the jar and a batch) and Burp entries on the fridge zone's journal (the card's Log jar up / burp button opens it). The fridge band (18–19 °C ± 0.5) and the jar lines (band 58–62 %, burp now 65 %, too dry below 55 %) are in Settings › Climate › Dry and cure. Alerts: Jar needs a burp (binary_sensor.dsc_cure_jar_rh_high, warning), Cure fridge off band (binary_sensor.dsc_cure_temp_out_of_band, warning) and Jar sensor silent (binary_sensor.dsc_cure_jar_silent, info) — a puck inside glass inside a metal fridge is a weak Zigbee link, so a router near the fridge helps.
What it never does
The fridge holds its own temperature and the drying room runs on the hub's normal climate ladder. Flipping a zone to Dry or Cure records the role and switches the zone's bands on the dashboard (a flip to Dry also opens the Dry room ready procedure; Cure opens none) — it does not switch a lamp, fan or appliance.
