Procedures — SOP checklists

Short standard procedures that open when something happens, tick themselves from the journal or the sensors, and write their close to the journal.

The procedures

Procedure Opens when Steps
Dry room ready a zone flips to Dry (or started from the Alerts desk for the 4×8 or 2×4) Sanitation logged · air held the dry band for 2 h (observed) · plants hung
Zone turnover a zone flips to Empty (or started from the Alerts desk for the 4×8 or 2×4) old medium and trays out · Sanitation logged · IPM scout logged
Quarantine new plant a new plant is seated (or Start quarantine on the plant's Reminders card in Logs) kept apart · inspected at least every 3 days · 14 days since the last finding
Runoff sample Start runoff sample on the plant's Reminders card in Logs water to 10–20 % runoff · collect within 15 min · log a Feed, Water or Flush with runoff EC
Pump recheck started from the Alerts desk once a pump is bound one shot into a jug · log the volume

Steps marked from the journal tick when you log that entry type in the procedure's scope after it opened; observed steps tick when the brain sees the condition; the rest are a manual tick. A Quarantine check entry with finding found restarts the 14 days, and a gap of more than 3 days between inspections stays on record.

Not on this release: the zone journal's composer in Logs writes plain notes only (typed entries are offered on a plant's journal, and an entry logged on a plant does not count here), so the zone steps that wait for a Sanitation or IPM scout entry, and Pump recheck's logged volume, cannot tick from the dashboard yet. Tick the manual steps and stop the procedure, or log the entry through the API (POST /journal/space/<zone> with action sanitation, ipm_scout or procedure). The plant procedures tick normally from the plant's journal.

Where they live

Open procedures are a Procedures panel on the Alerts desk, with progress, the reason each exists and a LOG IT button into the right journal. When every step is done the procedure closes itself and writes a procedure entry to the zone or plant journal. Stop closes it as stopped. Delete (API DELETE /procedures/<id>) removes a mistaken run together with the entry its close wrote.

Recurring husbandry is a reminder, not a procedure: the panel's Weekly IPM scout every 7 d and Source water check every 30 d buttons add journal reminders for the chosen tent (4×8 or 2×4), and the Reminders card in Logs adds any other cadence. A reminder stands down when its entry is logged.
