WHAT: Settings > System > Backup offers a manual ‘Download backup’ (ops sqlite + manifest + optional .env/z2m) and ‘Import backup’. There is no scheduled/automatic backup. WHY: the box holds 45 days of fleet history (2.3M rows, 196 MB DB) plus all journals and grow records on a USB SSD – a lot to lose to an SD/SSD failure with only manual backups. A studio NAS is on the LAN. HOW: add an optional ‘auto-backup nightly to ‘ with a retention count and a last-success/last-error status chip; reuse the existing backup bundler. Turns a manual chore into durable protection. Found live 8.2.0.
