Plants — Roster and Compose
Add a plant in five steps, the ten-slot roster, assign / detach / delete, stages and the flip date, the harvest window.

A live catalog behind the grow. A plant is a strain from CannaLib, a probe, a medium and an optional recipe. Everything else follows from it.
Compose — add a plant
- Which plant, which probe? Pick the strain (search CannaLib or the local catalog), the tent, a nickname, the sprout date, and a probe (or no probe to add it detached). A probe marked OCCUPIED already has a plant.
- Pot size & growing medium. Vessel presets when the hub offers them, else volume only.
- Feed recipe (optional). Tank litres, strength %, ml/L per product, a recipe note.
- Light fixture (optional). The hub fixture preset for the tent, or a CannaLib fixture.
- Review & add. The main button (Add plant to Probe N, or Add to roster (stock) with no probe) asks once, then saves the plant to the roster, assigns the probe and copies the vessel to it. Adding does not apply climate Want: Advanced actions › Apply climate Want (with Climate apply probe) does that.
Compose keeps a draft: close the page and it is still there. Retiring a plant clears the draft so the next compose starts empty.
Roster
Ten slots. The Roster table lists Slot, Name, Strain, Status, Probe (tagged Out of service when that probe is), Need and Tent, with each row's actions. The crop scheduler sits above it.

| Delete / retire | Retires the plant. Its journal is archived as a grow record (Settings › System › Journals) unless retention says otherwise. |
| Edit | Opens the plant panel (plants on an in-service probe): nickname, strain, blend / media, sprout date, Flipped to flower, growth stage and notes. |
Delete and retire work by slot, so stock and detached plants can be removed too. Probe stations (idle home) and soft calibration are separate layers; detaching does not touch them.
Stage and dates
Expected stage is a calendar: days since sprout, the flip date, and the strain's catalog flowering time (when Catalog-scaled stage model is on under Settings › Integrations). It is an expectation, not a live plant state, and the cards say so. Flip date is stamped when the plant crosses veg → flower and can be edited on the plant panel (Flipped to flower). Harvest window per plant (expected finish, days to finish, flower day) comes from the flip date (operator › journal flip entry › calendar stand-in, always labelled) plus the catalog flowering span; autos count from sprout. Each tent gets a harvest window from its plants; the latest expected finish shows as the FINISH tag on the tent's Overview card.
Crop scheduler
A timeline of every roster plant against its stages and windows, with the tent's photoperiod. Useful for planning the flip so both tents stay staggered.
