Kit desk — Inventory, Learning, Calibrate

Kit is the hardware desk. Three sub-tabs.

Inventory

Inventory opens on a small 3D twin in the Kit lens (every layer, and which parts are live, held, missing or unbound) with open in twin. Kit pulse: the hub link chips, each in-service device with online state, the surface version and alert counts. Grey means out of service or no data, never a silent alarm. Kit & in service shows whether Probe 1 and Probe 2 are in service, status only; change In service under Settings › Devices. The Tank card shows the water tester when one is bound. Waiting for the first fleet snapshot means the brain has not yet heard from the hub since it started.

Learning

Learning replaces nameplate airflow with measured fan CFM the brain trusts. A session:

  1. Open gate (Learn gate): pick the Cal target, then Start session. The hub holds each step steady while you measure.
  2. Sample points: enter the anemometer reading in m/s or CFM (PPFD for the light) at the Step %, with the duct sizes in cm (OUT duct, RECIRC, Intake main, Intake 2×4). Save point keeps it, Skip leaves a step you could not measure, Re-hold holds the step again, Abort stops. A guessed point is worse than a gap; save only a steady reading.
  3. Stored curves: the saved points per step.
  4. Finish session returns fans and light to their previous settings; points already saved at 25/50/75/100 % are kept.

Climate learn (Phase A/B): Phase A learns the ladder's response as an EMA (α and minimum samples are shown); Phase B lets the brain propose ladder wait times, with a lock so it never touches failsafe, min-off or fans. Both are opt-in. CFM cal ownership points guided fan CFM sessions to Kit › Calibrate: both pages drive the same calibration helpers, so use one of them per fan session. Climate learn pauses by itself during failsafe, manual takeover or a fault.

Calibrate

Calibrate replaces nameplate guesses with measured Fan CFM and Light PAR/LUX curves. Soft calibrate only shifts Got offsets; it does not flash probes.

Flow What it does
Fan airflow (1 Select duct → 2 Sample → 3 Done) Anemometer points per fan; the brain's CFM badges switch from nameplate to allocated.
Light curve SF1000 brightness response: PPFD or lux at several dim levels; saved as the lamp's curve.
Tank EC / pH bias EC unit multiplier (1 or 1000), EC bias in µS/cm, pH bias for the water tester.
Lab wet calibration Buffer-solution calibration of a probe's EC/pH, stamped on the ESP. Follows the on-screen What → Process → Expected.
Soil test wizard The same six-step flow as on Root, started from here.
Soft calibrate Tap water → after water: shifts the probe's Got offsets so the desk reads honest without flashing. Not a lab stamp. Push peer offsets to ESP writes the peer-median offsets down.

Every calibration surface states what it will do before Start, and live ones say that Start holds live actuators until finish. Abort stays enabled while a run is in flight.
