First five minutes

  1. Is the room safe? A Smoke detected, Gas detected or Carbon monoxide alert means go to the room first, before anything on this page. Otherwise: the hub runs the ladder on its own. If the hub heartbeat chip is alive, the climate is being kept regardless of anything else on this list.
  2. Read the Alerts desk. Critical first. Each card names the entity and the zone.
  3. Kit › Inventory. Which devices are online, which are in service, and the hub link chips.
  4. Settings › System › Time. A CLOCK INVALID hub explains most lamp surprises.
  5. Settings › System › About. Surface, expected firmware and served routes; a mismatch explains a card that says predates.

Before you change anything

  • Take a backup (Settings › System › Backup).
  • Raise the brain log level to DEBUG only while you look, then drop it back.
  • Do not factory-reset the Zigbee coordinator or the fleet config to fix a single device.
