Navigation — desks, zones and the gear

One row of desks
The top bar is a flat row of desks — what you are looking at. Which tent you are looking at is never a desk; it is context.

The accent colour under the active desk tells you which family you are in: live (what the room is doing now), grow (plants, catalog, journals) or kit (hardware).
Zone strip
Climate, Root, Light and Twin show a strip of zones: Room, 4×8, 2×4 and All (every zone side by side). On Climate › Tent the strip reads TENT and offers only 4×8 and 2×4. The choice travels in the URL as ?zone=4x8, so a link you copy opens on the same zone. Your Default zone (Settings › Preferences) is used when a link has none.
Header
- HUB ONLINE / HUB OFFLINE: the hub link; opens Kit when clicked. UPDATED beside it is the age of the last fleet snapshot. See Reading the dashboard honestly for the chips.
- HONESTY GAPS / KIT HONEST: shows or hides the honesty rail under the bar.
- Alert tags: the active critical count, or the warn count when nothing is critical. Clicking one opens Alerts. AWAY · CRITICAL ONLY shows while Away mode is on and opens Settings › Alerts.
- On Overview, a tent card's title opens that tent's cockpit (Climate › Tent).
Phone
On a narrow screen the desks collapse to a bottom bar with four desks (default: Overview, Climate, Root, Light) and a More menu for the rest. Pick your four under Settings › Preferences › Phone bottom bar. Desks no longer scroll sideways on phones; wide tables scroll inside their own frame.
Settings is the gear
Settings is not a desk. The gear opens #/settings/preferences with a rail on the left grouped as You (Preferences, Alerts), The grow (Zones, Climate, Light, Root, Sensors, Automation) and The kit (Devices, Integrations, Network, System). A search box at the top of the rail finds any row by label, entity id or synonym and deep-links to it.

Older paths (#/fleet, #/tune/analytics, #/grow/logs) redirect to their new homes. The browser tab names the page first, for example Tent · Climate · DSC-HUB or Light · Settings · DSC-HUB, so narrow tabs stay tellable apart; the version is on Settings, not in the title.
